THE WINE CELLARS
When visiting the cellars on the Wine and Oil Routes you will find tasty red wines, with a rich character and unique personality, as well as fresh whites and intensely perfumed “passito” wines (strong sweet wines made from raisins).
You will find wines that are born in that territory and you can match these flavours with the food of our land and with our typical and genuine products: extravirgin olive oil, honey and other bee products, fresh bread baked in the wood-fired oven, cheeses, salamis, jams and marmelades.
The Wine Route on the Etruscan Coast welcomes you to a land of gentle hills, sea and ancient boroughs where the Sassicaia wine was born. This wine is one of the best in the world and has become the symbol of the Tuscan Coast.
Some of the most important wine cellars can be visited on request. Please go to the “BOOK” page to reserve your visit in advance.
You will find a crystal-clear sea, of color ranging from an intense blue to emerald green, that has been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union for the quality of the water and the services. Splendid resorts such as Bibbona, Marina di Castagneto, San Vincenzo, Rimigliano and Baratti offer untouched and unique landscapes with light-coloured sandy beaches or isolated wind-beaten reefs with their clear and precious sea beds.
There are unique places which are known only by the local people. Here, even during busy Summer months, you can still find a private corner where you can enjoy beathing the sea air and tasting the salt on your skin.
There are plenty of sailing opportunities offered by the many well-equipped leisure ports available.
